Any suggestions for a good point and shoot digital camera? I went quickly through two kodak 8.1s and would like something that takes great pictures but is a little more sturdy and reliable.

Shower Cleaner
I work long hours during the week so little cleaning gets done other than small, easy chores like wiping down the counters. That leaves the weekend to get the rest of the jobs done. I am constantly on the look out for products that will shorten my cleaning time during my heavy duty weekend cleaning.

I had heard about the new Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner but did not want to drop the $26 or so dollars most stores were wanting for the start up kit. I finally found it last weekend about ten dollars cheaper than that. Add my $5 coupon and I purchased one.

This kit contains:
. One sprayer
. Two bottles of cleaner
. Four AA batteries
. One hanger for your shower head

From what I have heard advertised, it would keep my already clean shower clean. If the shower is dirty it will be clean within 2 weeks. Some simple assembly is required although I somehow managed to spill some of the cleaner trying to get it into the sprayer. I then hooked it on my shower rod.

Here is how it is supposed to work:
After you have finished in the shower, you get out, press the button on the sprayer. The sprayer gives 15 seconds worth of warning beeps and then sprays the cleaner 360 degrees around your shower.

The first morning I pressed the button. I listened to the 15 second warning beeps. I then jumped because of the god awful grinding noise the sprayer makes while rotating. A very thin stream of cleaner hits the walls approximately six times (as of when I counted this morning.) I believe the cleaner is supposed to drip down the walls but the small amount of spray I noticed on the back walls did not seem to do anything at all. I have used the sprayer for about a week now and have noticed little to no change. The shower and tub had been cleaned the day before I started using the Scrubbing Bubbles kit, but I still feel that I need to manually scrub the shower and tub this week.

I will continue to use the sprayer to monitor if the long term cleaning power. My apartment is especially damp because I am in the basement and I hope it will help combat the mold/mildew.

My initial opinion of the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic has been poor but I will give it a few more weeks to change my mind.

I do have another $5 coupon if I have convinced you to run out and purchase one for yourself.

I've been meaning to post this for about a week now.

I am in LOVE with Burger King's Coffee! It comes in three varieties. Decaf, Regular, and TURBO. Personally, I haven't tried the Turbo. I love the other two. I've gone to a few different Burger Kings at different times through out the day and the coffee has always tasted freshly brewed. The flavor is excellent.

It's a little pricey for a cup, but if you sit in the dining room, you can refill your cup as often as you like. Getting two (or more cups) for the $1.20something I think it was for the medium size serving isn't too bad. Much cheaper than some of the big name Coffee places.

If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend it. Even better, call me and I'll meet you for a cup.

Prior to moving into this apartment, I had my phone, cable and internet through Time Warner Cable (Roadrunner.)

While I was preparing to move in here, I learned that the apartment complex was currently in a contract with another cable company and until the expiration of that contract, I was unable to get any Time Warner Services. I then switched my internet and phone to Cincinnati Bell and have since added their wireless option too.

I haven't had any issues with the phone. I rarely use the cell phone, but really haven't discovered any issues with it either. Yet. I am very unhappy with my internet connection.

Sometimes it takes me twenty tries to get to a website. Any website. It took me ten attempts to post a LJ comment earlier today. I could understand this a little more if the poor connection occurred after my computer had been "idle" for a long period of time. But that is rarely the case. It happens more often when I have actively been looking for something online. This doesn't just happen monthly or weekly. It is a frequent problem.

I wonder if this is a common Zoomtown issue or if this is something more specific to my situation for some reason. I pretty much had no internet access from 6:30 this morning until just now.

I think this frustrates me so much because I'm not online that often and when I am looking for information, I'd like to find it quickly. And for the price I'm paying to be online ALL the time, it'd be nice to have that service.

Does anyone else have any experience with anything like this?

Movie/Cleaning product
I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last night. It was ok, but they really butchered it. I'd say stick with the book. It's about 1000xs better.

I love that new Pledge multi-surface stuff. It cleans well and goes from surface to surface so I don't have to lug out 6 different bottles of cleaning junk. Non-streaky on glass, non-drying on wood.

mr clean magic erase sponges
Oh yeah baby! My mom bought me a pack of these when she was here last summer. I thought she was crazy but she thought these rocked. You can take almost any mark off anything. My sons had markered on the wall in Alicen's room. MONTHS before my mom got here. These took the marker off.
You can use them to clean up the handprints that stick to the banister as you walk up the stairs, you can use them to clean up any last mark that doesn't come off with other cleaners. They work on scummy bathtub floors (not that I had any of those in my house!!)
I love these and recommend them to everyone.

Clorox Toilet Wands
Okay, here's my first post. It's cleaning day, so don't be surprised that it's about a cleaning product.

Clorox Toilet Wands.

I purchased these at Sam's club. The box has both the wand as well as 30 disposable heads. The box is pretty big and bulky, so it's a little hard to store in my little bathroom closet. I've decided to throw the box out and keep the remainders.

As for the wand itself, I wish it had some way to hang it. Instead, it's just sort of propped against the wall in the side of the closet.

The disposable heads are easy to click on and off. I'm not overly crazy about the design of these heads. They don't seem to clean well underneath the rim of the toilet bowl. There is "cleaner" in each disposable head so another cleaning product is not needed.

Overall, I'd rate this product a 6-7 out of 10.
